We are happy to announce the adding of GameServ as an option for the users who participate on the Chataholic IRC network. As you know, we are always looking for new services to add and we thought this would be a great addition! You will find this service located in the channel #forest, if you require support please type /msg gameserv help after you enter the network. Hope to see you there!

We are happy to announce that a new server has been added and with it comes the ability to connect via SSL. We’d also like to thank iShells for providing us this new server as they have been very generous with the services they have provided us. If you do not wish to connect via SSL please use the hostname irc.chataholic.net as the new server has been added to our round robin which will balance out the server load.

Please note that the BOPM ( Abusive Proxy Monitor ) is also back online, and if you are using a proxy that has been known for abusive activity you will be automatically removed from the network.

For new links! Chataholic is currently interested in expanding our userbase, and we’d like to achieve that by linking our network with other servers looking for the same.

Hello Chataholics! You may have noticed several broken links scattered throughout the Chataholic site, and you may have noticed web pages that are yet unfinished. Dont worry! We haven’t forgotten. Chataholic staff is currently working hard to improve our current layout and services. Please keep checking back with us as we work to make Chataholic a more efficient and enjoyable experience.

Do you have a website and would like to add chat? It’s quite simple and to top it off it’s FREE! The Chataholic Network offers free chat services no matter how much traffic and there is no limit to the amount of users you can have. If you think you’d be interested in integrating an applet into your site to offer your visitors an easy way to communicate then our services are for you. We will be adding a new section dedicated to Webmasters and how to get chat up and going within a matter of minutes!

Due to the decrease in activity on the Chataholic Network, and the fact it was down for quite awhile we have changed up the staff. I’d like to welcome a new staff member, Maya, who will be taking the position of Network Administrator. We are very happy to have her join us and hope that she will help rebuild Chataholic to the great network it used to be. I want to apologize to all our users for the inactivity and hope that you will stay around while we pick things back up and get everything back up and running.

The Chataholic Network has moved it’s Server to be hosted by iShells. This move allows us to provide our users with better performance, and stability to keep things running smoothly. We thank iShells for donating us our shell, and hope that they continue to provide us such excellent services.
